Great New Planet

You need a pat on the back!

Rubbish floating in the water, and in India even the dead float in the water. Africa seems like a split nation of great wealth and dry, desolate, poverty. Orphans in hospitals in Russia look more like concentration camps with watery gruel, and forced bed enclosure. Thousands sleep in African shanty towns, which are made of no more than corrugated sheets and boards. In some countries the soldiers seem to have far too much power, and watching people being beaten, until blood comes, seems far too normal. Freedom of speech is not yet world wide. Murder, rape, child abuse and all the other offenses that wriggle away underneath the exquisite fabric of this beautiful planet are a constant issue. This draft is for the other half of the human race, the part that fights for freedom. The heroes that rescue people using disaster funds, so the countries struck by the planet's natural and unnatural forces can be saved. The volunteer workers that work without pay to bring blankets, and soup to millions, even on great public holidays. The air and traffic police that have to monitor tragic accidents. The doctors and nurses that mend the wounded, and comfort the grieving. The millions of helplines that talk people out of drastic, and sad actions. The brave coast guards that venture out into rough seas to save potentially lost souls. The world wide food organizations that support the world's starving. The programs to grow food across the globe. The attentions to preserve nature and all its wonders. The people who fight against animal cruelty. There are so many people that constantly fight these battles, with little or no reward. A pat on the back for these people who I love with all my heart. Without these people the world would seem a desolate place full of filth, and uncaring hearts. With these people the planet, and all its wealth of living creatures and beings has a chance. The planet can and will develop and change into a fantastic place. Every year more and more people dig in their pockets, and many large companies join in the fight, as every penny counts. I can safely love this planet, as there are millions of homes across the globe with people exactly like me with the same beautiful ideas. To battle on with all that we know as good people. It does not matter what color or creed, and it does not matter what religion. It matters only that you try to be good. In this truth I lean, as without it we would cease to be human beings. I grow with the knowledge that even when I am weak, someone else, somewhere in the world works hard on my dream of being good, kind, and honest. People are working hard everyday! To undermine all that is bad with their pure hearts. It is a daily grace that we live and survive here. It is food, shelter, and safety that are paramount, and we must remind others that this is not a common thing for some families! I give you my love and respect.
